Update: best Mexican in Beacon! Loved all of our 3 kinds of tacos, fabulous rice and beans (only wish there had been more!), crispy maduros, and nice guacamole. Update: also love the huarachas al pastor, pozole rojo soup, nachos, horchata, and fantastic chicken fajitas. Also liked the carne adobada I tried today. Update: chicken to tortilla soup fantastic .

La Barbirria is a hidden gem in Beacon, NY! From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The Mexican cuisine here is nothing short of outstanding. Pescado Marinado: A flavor explosion! The fish was tender, perfectly seasoned, and left us craving more. La Barbirria Parillada: Meat lovers, rejoice! The meats were cooked to perfection, and each bite was a celebration of smoky goodness. Flan: A sweet finale that didn’t disappoint. Creamy, velvety, and just the right amount of sweetness. Our server, Bridget, was an absolute delight. Friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The entire staff made us feel like family. We’re already planning our next visit. If you’re in the area, don’t miss out on this culinary treasure! Bon appetit!

Stopped in for brunch and it did not disappoint. The margaritas were delicious and generously poured. One is more than enough but if you plan to walk around, indulge in another. The chilaquiles were AMAZING!!!! The tortillas were fresh, the salsa verde nice and spicy to give the kick, eggs perfectly prepared and to top it off, the chorizo. *Chef's kiss* My partner got the mixed eggs with chorizo, rice and beans which tasted homemade. The look of happiness could not compare. Ended with a coffee which was served in a beautiful cup - forgot to take a picture but highly recommend! Miriam was very attentive and sweet making my visit a wonderful experience. Thank you!

This is hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve ever been to. I liked it so much that I made a reservation for 15 people for next month! The guacamole, salsa and chips were amazing. The steak sopes were phenomenal. The horchata felt tasty and fresh although it had too much ice. The entire restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. Service was excellent. A lot of parking in the back area. This place looks perfect to me!

What a surprise this place was. The food was high quality, fresh, and delicious. The drinks were strong and delicious. The service was friendly. Very highly recommend. We tried a lot of things and had several drinks so our tab was probably higher than the average diner. I would think average would be 30per person, including a drink. The street corn was fantastic. The watercress salad was delicious and unusual. The fermented vegetables were outstanding.

Came here for our anniversary and it was so delicious! We ordered the Barbirria Molcajete and it had so much flavor. It’s the perfect combination of meats and the sauce is out of this world! We brought some leftovers home for our boys and they absolutely loved it. Finally a place with some spicy jalapenos! Will definitely come back again. Miriam was our waitress and she did phenomenal. She was the only server there taking care of the whole lunch shift. She did an excellent job! Thank you so much for a great experience on our anniversary!

Overall very good. Wait staff are friendly but could improve in being more organized. Requested multiple times and waited a long time for some non-food items. Maybe they are understaffed? It would be very helpful to indicate the spiciness of each dish (mild, medium or very spicy, etc.) because some dishes are simply too spicy for me personally.

Delicious!! I’ve been wanting to stop in for awhile now and I’m so glad that we did. Everything was delicious. We also ordered the guacamole but it was so good it didn’t stand a chance to even get a photo! Highly recommend.
